Catholics Across India Invited to Pray for Priests, Peace and the Protection of Life
NEW DELHI, October 8, 2026 — The World Apostolate of Fatima (WAF) India has invited Catholics across the country to unite in a national Chain Rosary under the theme “Priests • Peace • Life.” The initiative, taking place from October 8 to 10, encourages families and parish communities to come together in prayer for the Church, world peace, and the dignity of every human life.
Prayers for Priests and Vocations
The first intention focuses on priests, asking God to strengthen them with holiness, courage, and compassion as they serve their communities. Special prayers are offered for priests facing loneliness, exhaustion, and demanding pastoral responsibilities. The initiative also encourages prayers for new vocations to the priesthood and religious life.
A Call for Peace and Reconciliation
Amid conflicts, divisions, and persecution around the world, participants are invited to pray for peace, religious freedom, and reconciliation. The prayers also remember families and communities affected by fear, anger, and rejection, asking for healing and renewed unity.
Protecting Human Life and Dignity
The third intention highlights the dignity of every human life, from conception to natural death. Special prayers are offered for mothers facing difficult pregnancies, people experiencing despair, and elderly people facing neglect or abandonment. The organisers also encourage practical acts of compassion and support for vulnerable people.
WAF India has invited Catholics to join participating parishes or pray the Rosary at home with their families. The initiative reminds the faithful that prayer can inspire meaningful action through kindness, forgiveness, and service to those in need.
A Message for Believers: Let us unite in prayer for those who serve the Church, those who long for peace, and those who need our love and care. May our prayers inspire us to become instruments of God's peace and compassion.
